Mathematics is one of the essential emanations of the human spirit- a thing to be valued in and for itself- like poetry or art. To mark the birth anniversary of India’s famous mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan, Uttam School for Girls hosted yet another exhilarating season of Mighty Math Carnival, a festive bonanza dedicated to the love of mathematics. Students from Grade LKG to VIII from various schools participated in a plethora of events and discovered the joy of thinking like mathematicians and appreciated the fact that maths unites us all. Smt. Naaz Rizvi Director at the National Museum of Natural History and Dr C R Margesh, Scientist Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, New Delhi graced the event with their kind presence. Smt. Rizvi inspired the students by her words of wisdom on the topic Energy Conservation. She also emphasized on the need to save energy and encouraged students to come up with more brilliant ideas to conserve energy for future generations.
