Twenty students from Classes XI and XII of Uttam School for Girls had the extraordinary opportunity to visit the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota โ Indiaโs iconic spaceport.
The highlight of the visit was an immersive tour of the Launchpad, where Indiaโs rockets take shape within the towering Vehicle Assembly Buildings (VABs). Students witnessed the intricate process of module integration, rigorous pre-launch testing, and the massive operations involved in moving the rocket to the launch pedestal.
They also stepped into the heart of Indiaโs space missions โ the Mission Control Centre (MCC). Here, they observed how scientists and engineers monitor launch sequences, satellite deployments, and mission success using real-time telemetry data.
This scientific sojourn offered students a rare glimpse into Indiaโs space program, igniting curiosity and pride as they witnessed firsthand the precision, innovation, and dedication that power ISROโs missions
